Two-Way Communication Enrollment
Some newer generations of HomeLink are equipped with two-way communication capability. If it is programmed to control a compatible two-way garage door opener or gate, your HomeLink will be able to provide a last-known-status indicator arrow, showing whether your HomeLink was last used to open or close the garage door or gate.
Two-way communication enables you to see garage door movement and/or check your last HomeLink action with the garage door or gate even when you are away home. If the two-way feature in your HomeLink has been properly activated, you can check the last known status by pressing buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously, or 2 and 3 simultaneously. Your mirror or overhead console will display an arrow, with up meaning open and down meaning closed.
Compatible Two-Way Devices
For vehicles equipped with HomeLink with two-way communication, the following garage door and gate products can be programmed to provide two-way device feedback:
- Chamberlain (MyQ Models)
- Craftsman (AssureLink Models)
- LiftMaster (MyQ Models)
